At The Bowery Poetry Club

One of the things I liked the most about the poetry venues is the atmosphere. The seating was such that the poets who were going to present their poem were one among us. Some of the poets who presented were not professional poem writers but came up with some really sensitive poem. The other interesting thing I notices is it creates more impact on the audience when the poet themselves read the poem. Their emotions and theme of the poem is easily understandable than to read by ourselves. The other thing I should mention is the music. The band tried to boost up the mood of the poets. It seemed like more of a musical performance. Each poem had a different feel to it. Some of the poem themes that I liked were nature, comedy, drama and sexual harassment. Hearing to the music and poets presenting their poem themselves was a different and unforgettable experience.
